Viking's Terms and Conditions of Sale
Freight
- All sales are shipped "Freight on Board" Viking dock. At this point the ownership changes to the customer. If something has been damaged in shipping, please refuse the damaged pieces, and note that on the delivery receipt.
- Shipments will either be shipped common carrier or the best carrier available to Viking at the best freight rate possible.
- After the shipment has left Viking dock, we can no longer be responsible for damages caused by the freight carrier, but we will do our best to help with the freight claim.
- Upon receiving products, please check all the packages for damage before the driver leaves. If something is damaged, note it on the delivery receipt before you sign for the products. This will make filing a claim and getting replacements possible.
Product Defects
- We advise you to inspect the product when it is received. In some cases, our products may need a "touch up", common to the furniture industry.
- If an unusual problem develops, please feel free to call us to discuss the best action we can take. In many cases, we can send pieces and parts to repair these problems. We will not accept returned goods or issue a credit without prior approval.
- When repair parts are ordered, the customer will be billed for parts and freight. Once the part has been inspected and the nature of the cause is determined, we will either issue credit, replace, or contact you to resolve the problem. See return policy.
Viking's Return Policy
It has always been Viking's desire to offer its customers the best service possible, by taking methodical steps in its return policies to provide its customers a fair, orderly, and prompt action on all returns.
With the shipping of hundreds of various products each week, we occasionally make errors. Viking has four quality control checks before each product is shipped out, but occasionally an oversight is made. We stand fully behind our products, but at the same time we want to protect ourselves from unfair business practices of a select few. To be fair to everyone, these policies must be implemented across the board.
Viking replaces product or issues credit. DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN CREDITS. If you have a defective product and you want to receive product prior to sending back the defective product, you must pay for the new product and the freight. A replacement part will be shipped on your next order or through Spee-Dee or FedEx.
General Returns Procedures:
- Product must be returned within 30 days from the purchase date.
- Product must be returned in good condition and in its original box.
- All returned products must be met with prior authorization. Prior authorization means call Customer Support, explain the situation, and suggest an acceptable remedy. Any product sent back without prior authorization will be refused.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES COULD RESULT IN EXERCISING THE RIGHT TO REFUSE, YOU THE CUSTOMER, CREDIT OR RETURN.
